how bad will a turbo350 trans affect my mpg on a pretty stock ls1? i drive over 60 miles a day i kno th350 trans will be worster but it also is alot cheaper. how bad you think it will afect it i got stock gears in the rear end. i get 18-20 mpg now with stock automatic in my 2002 z28

Your losing overdrive, so that won't be helping any. I'd say you'd probably drop to 15mpg. But that's just a guess. Are you going to stay with a stock converter? Why are you switching?

If I were you I wouldn't lose the overdrive with having to travel that distance everyday. Long term the extra gas will eat into your pocket and probably outweigh the savings you got from the 350 turbo.
