ATK High Performance Engines is looking for a new Performance and Race Engine Builder to add to our High Performance Division. We are currently looking for someone who is familiar and able to build/tune LS engines as well as early style Chevy's and Fords. The Division is headed by Mark Johnson, formerly of Reher & Morison Racing Engines. We are not looking to train from scratch, but someone who has the know how and can jump in the routine and go as well as learn. Must have own tools and be METICULOUS when it comes to attention to detail and documentation of work.

Experience Needed:
Engine assembling/Balancing/Blue Printing
Machining
Head Porting
Checking and setting of clearances
Final assembly of engine from stock - race engines
Dyno setup (operator a plus)
LS Tuning
Familiar with major performance parts/brands

I'd definitely be interested in the entry level position. 8 years working with automotive everything and a recent FAA A/P mechanic who loves engines. I have my own tools, but would need to acquire some of the specialty stuff to make it easier.

I imagine they are a bit different from normal piston engines, but I learn quickly and have plenty of aptitude for it. Most of my experience is with aviation engines (opposed piston and turbine) so it would be a change of pace. As with all engines, careful assembly and attention to detail are paramount

Dang wish I was closer I've been building engines since I was 12 my dad owns a machine shop where I work now. I've also built and race a lot of ls stuff from drag racing to mud bogging ! I've also built bout any engine u can think of from a Briggs n Stratton to a cat. All the good jobs are so far away. Based on what I've told u so far pm me with more details he'll I mite move! I got a few friends in tx too!!!!!
