Need help with a crank/flexplate measurement
Hey guys, I've got a very odd questions, but could anyone measure the projection of the crank when the stock LS1 flexplate is installed? The measurement I'm talking about would be toward the rear of the car if the motor was in the car.

I'll try to find a picture, but how much of the crank "sticks through" the flexplate? Does that make sense?
It's for a PTO adapter.

ok, i had a little time on my hands before my dental appt.
the lip on the crank is aprx. .308 (from where the flywheel would seat to the edge) and the flywheel is aprx. .125 thick
so doing the math with the flywheel on the crank, you would have aprx. .183
sticking out past the flywheel

So let's say I had a solid hub/PTO adapter that was a little larger in diameter than the bolt circle of the flywheel, if it had a flat face, I'd to recess it ~.200 in the center to get it to bolt up?
Would you also mind telling me what the diameter of that part of the crank is? And the thickness?

the flywheel i used to meas was a 4L80E FW, but i pretty much think its the same thickness as a 4L60E, but maybe that recessed area is the same
i know the pic. you posted is just a rep. of what you wanted, but it looks like
a 4L80E setup, with the .400 thick spacer
that spacer actually has a longer lip than the lip on the crank, so if you are just making up something to fit and needed more contact, you could use that setup-but i'll meas the area on my FW just past the bolts
i guess your aware they make 2 diff FW setups
i know the pic. you posted is just a rep. of what you wanted, but it looks like

that spacer actually has a longer lip than the lip on the crank, so if you are just making up something to fit and needed more contact, you could use that setup-but i'll meas the area on my FW just past the bolts

I will NOT be running any kind of spacer. I realize the picture shows a spacer, though.
