What is it Worth? - Selling 2001 TA WS6 Black/Black 44K miles AT

I'm looking to sell my 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6. It has black/ exterior and black interior. Only 44K miles. Automatic Transmission. All stock parts except Flowmaster exhaust, B&M shift kit, black tinted rear window, Alpine CD/MP3/Ipod sterero receiver with Monsoon. Fully loaded and in good condition.

I'm the 2nd owner and I bought the car 5 years ago from a guy who put only 5k miles in 5 years. It does need new tires and a smog test which will for sure pass. I have a carfax available. It has been garaged its whole life and only premium unleaded fuel and mobile one synthetic motor oil. It has been in two minor collisions: damage to the front left bumper in 2007 and rearended in 2010. Both have been repaired with factory parts and no damage to the frame.

Any ideas on how much to sell it for. I think the rarity of the blk/blk WS6 should be higher than the KBB price of $12,660. Let me know what you think.

I have to disagree. It is not stock and it has had accidents. You even state that it needs tires. The pricing is accurate. Collectors (the rarity factor) are not interested. Even an unmolested 'one-owner' near MINT example with similar miles would not command too much more. Premiums over retail are reserved for the type car I just decribed with even lower miles.

That's the problem with decent lower mileage LS1 cars right now. They are 'worth' so much more than what you can get for them. What kind of used car can you really get, for say $12,000 these days, that is an incredible performer with years and years of use left without major repairs? Not much. It is worth holding on to them if space and finances permit.

I just sold my 01 NBM WS6 for $13,500 with 43k, 6 speed black leather.

Sold my 35th SS with 58k for $10,000. Had curbed wheels and needed minor body work on spoiler. $12,000 would be right in line for your WS6.
