Default Idiot gages and lights just quit working.

Idiot gages and lights just quit working. Then start working. Anybody have any ideas this is driving me crazy.

Can it be the ignition switch doing this?

No i have not. I only replaced the switch last Aug.

i know if you dont seat the dash well after you take it out, it will do that. can you make it flicker yourself, like if you jiggle the steering wheel or move anything? If they are ALL going on and off at the same time, i would say its some sort of ground. think if you have done anything to the dash other than that switch. try to control the problem and that will give you a good idea of where it is if you can. a video would be nice too.

The only time it goes on and off is with the key turning. Not every time only when it wants to.

It just started today. I washed her and pumped her full. Went to start her and everything started happening.

Oh I misread, sorry.
Sure sounds like the cluster is not properly seated or the wiring harness behind it is damaged.

Anybody know if there is a relay that turns the idiot lights and gages on when you turn the key on to start the car?

if it flickers when turning the key then the ignition relay is fine. i would concentrate on the ignition assy.

Ok how about this 1994 Z28. I am looking for all the ground wires. Can anyone help????? There has got to be more then three grounds.
