Default To paint or not to paint behind wheels?

Wassup guys my chrome zo6 wheels finally came in after WAITIN FOR almost 4 MoNTHS, I was wondering If I should paint behind the wheels for longevity and rust protection and if so wat color. Thanks

Well the wheels should not rust. I am guessing the chome finish on the inside surface is not perfect? That is typical on wheels, they feel that surface isn't seen, so they don't finish it all that well.

If the inside of the wheel does not look too bad I would leave well enough alone. If it looks kinda pooky that mask the wheel off really well, and spray the back of the hwell with a good quality wheel or engine paint and clear coat. Color - I'd recommend silver.

The insides of wheels do take quite a beating during driving, so it may be something that requires maintenance.
