at the mileage given and as long as it has no issues it is worth at least 1500 fair price . find the right person and maybe even more . the t56 is a really good trans. it is used in aston martin vanquish db9 , db 7 .
also the dodge viper has used it for as long as i can remember but has a larger input shaft that can be put on our rides with modification . the larger input shaft allows more power handling without worry of damage .
the 03-04 terminator cobras and if memory serves the newer super snakes ?

bottom line the t-56 is one of the best 6 speed trans used in production and in custom builds .
so yeah 1500 and i am sure it will sell quickly and more just from personal experience .

I've seen pull outs range from $800-$1800. It all comes down to how fast you want to sell it and who's interested in purchasing it. I'd say $1200 is a fair price with a bellhousing. I just sold a GTO unit with 18K on it and no bellhousing for $1200 to a guy in Arizona last week. I had the unit for 6 months prior to that.

A stock t56 is fine, especially if you plan on using it on a stock or mildly modified car. Like the rest have said, 12-1500 for a used one in good shape is worth it.

buying a t56 without driving it is always a risk, and even if it drives you'd be surprised how many problems there can be with it

I bought a t56 that popped out of 2nd pretty cheap. I had it rebuilt and upon tearing it down I found out it needed a 1-2 synchro, 2nd gear, mainshaft, bearings (2 exploded), blocker rings, and the usual slider keys, fork pads, etc

I traded a broken t56 to RPM for parts It was a win win situation sure there going to make money and I got a part I needed. It was really broken all 6 gears where done for. On a positve note reverse was good.

If you don't need absolute strength, yes. The '93 boxes were weaker but are still a very valid trans. for swap trucks like yours.
