5.3 turbo/t56 in notchback (track video)***
Well 2 weeks ago the ls1 in my car lost oil pressure and its a 98 block so i'm gonna try to sell that motor and start over. I picked up a 5.3 with 33k on it tuesday at a junk yard in pa for 650 sweet. The plan is to get the rest of my motor stuff parted out and get this build done asap so i can have it ready by summer. I'm gonna go with the ported 317 heads on my ls1, 70mm or 76 mm mp turbo with truck mannies, and gonna make a aluminum intake/heavy foot.
Here is the car, the old setup and video at the track sorry it cuts off early ill just say women shouldnt run cameras. haha
Just click on the picture

Pulled the 5.3 apart the other day and motor is super clean inside so i deffenatly believe it has 30k on it. Also called arp they said i could use my rod bolts out of my ls1 so theres some $ saved . I ordered 92mm tb and flange, fuel rails and intake flanges for the sheet metal intake im gonna make so i should be starting that soon. And Should be pulling old motor shortly just not lookin forward to the mess my garage will be lol. I just wish i could sell the old blower set up hint hint

Well its been a while but finally made some progress on the mustang. Didnt go as quick as i though lol because i got blasted with some hospital bills. So far ive got the motor put together and installed in the car and bought some parts. I did decide not to make a sheetmetal intake and instead went with a victor jr and made an elbow. Im thinking of starting a new fade with the wheels what do you guys think? lol not sold my 15x8 to buy 15x10 and well that hasnt happened yet so for now its the first ls mustang crop duster lol. I also got a sn95 rear for rear disc brakes and installed that.

I would guess $150 at the highest for a new wheel. Thanks I plan on pushing mine harder very soon. wanna try and hit 800whp its around 690-700 now at 16psi. Good luck on the rest of your build.
