Kooks / OBX Headers - Confused
Hey,
Trying to figure this out: for the LS2 CTS-V, OBX sells a set of headers for about $500 with resonators. The Kooks package w/X-pipe, which is what the OBX set is based on, is about $950.
Although it's obvious that the OBX headers do not include cats, I'm guessing (please help me out here) that the basic Kooks package doesn't either.
Assuming that neither package includes cats by default, will the OEM or $485 Kooks high-flow cats work on both sets of headers? This is driving me nuts.

I'd think there is no way in hell the OEM cats will work on either. They are very thin and tall, they'd scrape the ground if you pointed them up, and they probably wouldn't fit if you laid them on their side. I think you'd need bullet cats.

There is a rubber 'snorkel' runner that goes from the RH upper side of the upper grill (VIEW LOOKING AT FRONT OF CAR) and feeds air into the inboard side of the airbox.
Remove your radiator 'beauty' cover and you will see it.
