Default pcm connector disassembly

I have an 04 LQ9 harness with the blue and green pcm connector. Does anybody have any suggestions about getting the lockring off of the screw that goes thru the middle of each connector? I've been working on it but I'm afraid I'm going to damage the connector. Thanks.

I have used needle nose pliers and cutters to twist the ring so it can be cut with the cutters. Why do you want to remove it?

Greg, thanks for the reply, I was thinking it needed to be removed to be able to remove pins and wires I'm not going to need. Can you pull pins out without separating the aluminum piece from the pin holder?

There is no need to remove it.. you can just removed the Blue / Green fastners and the back of the connectors (gray?).. then just use a pick to release the pins and pull the pin/wire out (or push if you want).
