I've got an LR4 4.8L and it has this cable throttle body:


I want to swap to an LS1 intake manifold but am wondering if i should keep my truck TB or get an LS TB??
I've got the truck wiring harness which i plan on using.

The pics of LS TB's i've seen dont have any sensors... what are these for and where are they on f-body's (if they have them at all)

also, if all i plan to do to this motor is add an LS1 intake/injectors, should i run the 4.8L ECU or a camaro ECU?

Are you going to modify the truck harness? Then just use the truck harness and ECU (PCM), and have the injector connectors changed to LS1 style.

ya if the LS1 injector connectors are different i guess i'll be changing those too... i'll have to shorten some wires and what not but otherwise it wont be getting modded

i've heard the truck injectors wont work with the LS1 fuel rail... is this for sure correct?

I've read you can use the truck injectors if you take the plastic tips off, but I haven't looked into it.

i read that part, but thats for the manifold side... something about they're too short to reach the rail???
