Default daytime running lights

How do you turn daytime running lights off on a 98 camaro

The fog lights turn off with a switch under the center air vents on the dash. Those are the only lights I can think of that would run during the day if you had them on. The turn signal lights shouldn't stay lit and the head lights come on with a the switch.

Thanks I just unpluged the c2 plug since my brake light stayed on anyway and I found out why my lights stayed on all the time even when it sun shine the sensor on the dash was covered in dust like they sprayed the dash and never wiped the sensor. Thanks guys Now i just got to make a battery tie down so it can pass tech at the track.

It's been quite some time but when I had a 98 Z28 I remember pluging in a resistor I got from radioshack in place of the little sensor located on the dashboard.

So this has been the only some what helpfull thread about the subject I have found... and the link in post 3 does that also work for an T/A with an auto?

If you take off your light control switch on the left side of the steering wheel there is an orange wire which you can simply cut and will disable your automatic headlights and daytime running lights....however you still will have your ambers on all the time when the car is on....

This is the route I went with...

Yes, this works for a Trans Am just the same as for a Camaro.

dang that was so simple the part that took the longest was finding where I put my 7mm socket... thanks for the help

Awesome!! I really HATE DRL and automatic lights. I unplugged the C2 and now it's perfect!

All I did was cut the 2 wires on top of the dash. Taped them together and everything worked fine.
