what exactly does spark knock sound like? does it sound sort of like a peg in a bicycle tire? if so, I guess I had better start buying premium...

A stock FBODY PCM thats has not been modified has high and low octane tables, there is a decrease if not using premium but you should not be hearing audible knock.
It is a pretty distinct sound.
What do you have done to the car? Specs? Aftermarket Tuning??

Car is stock, knock has pretty much always been there since I've owned. I'm just now starting to look into it though... I thought it was spark knock or a leak in my headers cause the sound appears to be coming from that area..
