Default filter prior to fuel rail

buying more fuel system parts on a budget, '04 lm7, using a 255 inline pump to corvette filter- regulator, next to a finer filter, all parts are -6an, my question is, will what they use on a stock truck same year flow be o.k. for this system.
what I've read is they filter down to 4 microns and flow 1-2 gpm, seems they are alot less money than after market 10 micron filters. thanks

Why do you need another filter in addition to the vette one?

Putting one before the fuel pump is a good idea, that'll save your pump from getting clogged up.

No need for anything after the Corvette filter/ regulator, that filters correctly for the application as it's all GM used on all the Corvettes. A pre-filter in the 100 micron range is needed before the filter to help it's life out and takes the place of the "sock" that would normally be pre-filtering the pump in a stock application.

Default all systems flow

I read some threads where guys talked about putting a 10 mic filter after the vette filter/reg, and you are right it doesn't make sense to put a 10 mic after flowing thru a 5 mic, thanks, back to the parts book
