Default Another gay 'who will win' question- but $$ on this

I normally don't write or even read these questions because I think it is gay and you should just do it and find out that way but there will be money riding on this and a whole lot of $hit talking plus a long-time rivalry.

I have a 2000 SS, he has a 98 Z28. Both M6's.
When we were both stock we ran neck and neck. Equal cars/equal drivers.
I have since added a G5X1 cam (229/233 - .575/.585 - 112lsa) and QTP 1-3/4 longtube headers/3" Y-pipe. He has since added TEA stage 2 5.7L heads, LS6 intake, underdrive pullies, SLP Y-pipe and 3.73 gears. I have not used my LS1 edit yet so I am running rich and have the stock rev limiter (as does he.) Who will win? We are racing from a 25mph roll in 1st.

He still has his stock cam and exhaust manifolds but I still have my stock heads and no LS6 intake. Together, we make a complete head/cam package, lol.

He plans on upgrading to a small 222/222 cam. I plan on adding an LS6 intake, 4.10 gears, and completing my tuning with a 6700 rpm shiftpoint. For some reason, I think I will win because my cam has put down good numbers before; 400 rwhp on a stock headed car. I have seen some head/cam packages with small cams like that not even hit 390rwhp. The reason he is going small on the cam is so he won't have to do Edit and because he doesn't want to deal with the big-cam ride quality. So, I will have the extra breathing room to shift 500 rpms higher. Will the extra 500 rpms even make a difference?

In the end (not in this race, but after we are done) we will end up with a complete engine with a small cam and 3.73's compared to a big cam engine with 4.11's and stock heads. I really dont know who will win.

I think you will, but ive seen stock cam cars with heads go in the 11's but they had headers etc, so it will be a good race but you should come out ahead

I think the stock manifold will kill him.

I know not having an LS6 intake is going to hurt me. It sucks that $300 is holding me back from 15-20rwhp. BUT, he has stock exhaust manifolds! I think that is going to really crush him. I bet the ZO6 intake wouldn't even show up on his dyno. He can only push so much air out of that exhaust.

The LS6 intake wont help all that much.It has the same length runners, the only difference is it has a slightly more plenum volume.Save your money for a real intake, there are several now available.
