Default Melling Oil Pump O-ring question

I am putting a Melling High Flow Oil pump in my 2003 Z06 (LS2 swapped). The Melling pump came with 2 o-rings, a black one and green one. Would I have any issues using the stock blue o-ring??

Dont re-use the old stock one, match up with the included instructions the new one for your application. You want a really good seal on the pick up tube and the oil pump, a poor seal will result in low or no oil pressure. This is one .45c part you dont want to skimp on.

I have a brand new stock blue o-ring that I put on. The car isn't totally back together, so I'm just trying to figure out if the stock o-ring will be sufficient or do I need to use one of the o-rings Melling included in the kit??

Maybe I'm just stressing over nothing?

I always use the thicker green one with the 10296 and never had any issues with them.
