I am probably over looking this, but I am trying to figure out what all needs to be cut out of my harness. The motor is out of an 04 2500 truck. I plan on keeping the steering column and all the electronic that are in the truck and use them on an 85 c10, I will be getting from my friends dad before long. If someone can direct me to a thread or something on the wiring I would appreciate it. I have been looking for a few weeks now, ever since I bought the 04 that the power plant is coming out of, and I can't find it.

Given you are using more than just the engine/trans, I'd suggest a sub to www.alldatadiy.com
That will supply you w/ all the info on the entire truck.
The wiring diagrams can be used to choose wires you don't need.
The 1 yr sub is a good deal at <$40..
