LS1 Brakes vs. GTO brakes for an A-Body
Hey Guys, forgive me if this is in the wrong section but i've gotten so much good info from here (LS1 swap) I thought i'd ask for some help regarding my brakes.
I know the 2002 LS1 brakes work well with Rich's bracket or BRP's bracket that looks like this. A lot of people have retrofitted for use with older cars like my 66 A-body. This is also the same bracket used for C5 and even C6Z06 brakes. Does this mean I can also use 2004 GTO brakes on this same bracket also?
Any help would be appreciated.

The GTO rotors won't fit. The hub circle is too small. They also weigh a ton. As far as the calipers, you would want the 2005,6 ones over the 2004 ones. They have larger pistons, and are much better which is why the 2004 guys use them and toss the 2004 calipers. What measurements do you need? I am actually swapping stock 2004 brakes off my wifes GTO for the 2005,6 units. So I can take some measurments for you.
