Default dont have 5th gear at all?
i have a question about my trans its a t56 and i dont have 5th gear at all... if it was a syncro i would still have 5th right? any ideas what it could be? thanks!

i just don't have fifth at all and sixth grinds a little but yea and when it cold its really hard to get into gear which i think the fluid just needs to heat up...

Fork / fork pads could be broken / damaged.

Pull the trans., get the tailhousing off and look to see what's broken, then replace it.
