Default Is ORY Worth It On Stock Manis?

I just have a question for you local western members. Im low on funds at the moment, wanted to go LTs, but I have two bullshit speeding tickets on top of me, car payments, phone bill, car insurance etc. Ive been doing some research on other forums about an ORY vs stock y pipe and cats. some say its worth it, some say its not just get LTs. I wanna hear what you guys have to say. My car is completely stock, except for Lid, and slp loudmouth 1. would a ORY be worth it?

if you plan on getting lts at some point its a waste, your going to have to get a new y. depending on how clogged your cats are its cheaper to get some o2 sims/tune and cut out your cats.

honestly best thing to do decide what lts your are going to want to get and buy the ory pipe for it now. at least when you have the rest of the funds you already got the ory. plus staring at it daily will be more motivation to save up for the lts

You can get the sims on here in the classified section. Im trying to score a sim also. To cutout and tune figure $150 tune from frost, and 40-80 to weld in new pipe at a muffler shop. With a tune you dont need sims, but i would hold off on the tune till after lts. Not sure where to buy new i think the epa put a stop to that. You could always just get them tuned out for like $75 at most places.

I know of a exhaust shop that told me to go ahead and remove the cats, but at the moment I was like no because if Im going to change y pipe, I might as well replace the whole thing you know I hate having to cut this and that, then looks ugly, etc. He also said that if I went and decide to do it, the only thing popping up on my dash is check engine light. I know that little light would annoy the hell out of me. I might just go ahead and cut and weld a pipe in the cats and find someone local to remove the codes.

Just wait and buy the Pacesetters and ORY at the same time. Look to buy a used set of pacesetters and buy a new Y. That would probably be no more than $300 total plus install.

Is it worth the hassle to not be able to smog an otherwise stock car? Wait till you get a set of headers. Do it right do it once.

I was thinking of doing something like this, because its allot easier to swap y pipes for smog checks then to swap out the whole thing.

Brian, when I first got my car, I did a "dyno mouth" with an SLP Y pipe. It gave me a few ponies of power and a GREAT sound! But it was also like $150 or so.... but then I had to sit on it to sell it.

THEN, when I went with my LT's I had to sell my SLP Y (too restrictive),and I just built a custom Y with a flowmaster merge. Then I added cats to kill the rasp that drove me crazy.

Your car DOES NOT need a Y pipe "only". (plus, I thought you liked your "true duals") You just need to wait on getting LT's THEN get the Y at the same time. It's a waste of $$ to only get a Y now. If anything, just get the LT's now and save for the Y (Or vice versa).

But I thought you bought those PS LT's a few weeks ago... Didn't you?

Just do both LT's and ORY at the same time, Or get LT's and get Custom Y right away.

I LOVE TRUE DUALS, but man its gets annoying when you have people in your car and scrape every bump whether its in the mall, or street, etc. I fell in love with that pacesetter LTS, ORY pipe, SLP loudmouth, pure sex! lol but well see. After I get the tickets off of me, well see.
