Default need help; lost conn.

Doing a "write to" and file stopped downloading. flashes several messages about going "low speed" high speed" etc, but will not continue. I aborted after several mins of this repeating, and now when I try to write it gives a "recovery" on the first line and then says I don't have a license to proceed.
Do I buy another liceses of what do I need to do?
I have left the car ignition on, and hooked battery charger to it so it won't go dead

I was just doing a write to, to update a tune on the car. It was going fine and just stopped with around 25 secs to go while downloading the file. Now it will not do anything. When I click "write" the screen comes up, I hit begin, and it puts "recovery" briefly on the first line, (gathering information) then on license verify line, it fails and goes to the "purchase credit screen.
It has my car discription but no vin # in the location.
Thanks

I don't know what a "write to" is.

If you are using our software its either a write entire or write calibration only.

No
I had tweaked the file and was downloading it as I have done every week or so for several weeks, and several dozen times overall.
It doesn't appear to be recognizing my vehicle. It has the OS and corvette yr on the"write only" screen, but no VIN. It will not valadate license (fail) and keeps taking me to the screen to "purchase" one.
If that's what I need to do I will. Just hate to be down on a weekend

Yeah I've seen that happen once before on a 97/98 pcm, similar situation where there was a wiring/battery issue and the write failed at a most inopportune time during the session. Email support and theres a few things we can try.
