Default Mojave Mile - 2 Videos Inside (launch & run)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBQs996EDrI

The timing on the motor went from 40 degrees total timing down to 11 degrees, which is when it started sputtering. It also triggered a "camshaft sensor performance" code while it was sputtering. I dont know if the cam sensor caused it to sputter, or if the sputtering caused the cam sensor to glitch for a second.

BTW its not RPM related because all the other gears worked fine. It was right around 167mph on BOTH runs that it started to cut out. I felt like there was a speed limiter in the car somehow?????

And here is the launch Vid. This is my first run where I was limited to 150mph

If I remember correctly 162 is when the stock speed limiter kicks on, may have been your problem

Nice run man. You havent tuned out the limiter? That sucks, you had a lot of track left for more speed.

Oh Man. that would suck if it was the limiter. My brother said it pulls hard as hell off the line.

Any way to compare/calculate/predict what it would of ran if it didn't start cutting out? It looks like you had tons of room when you hit 160+mph

FAWK,You didnt do trial run jus to assure the cars capabilities.Im not sayin go out and do 200 but,I would think you'd been past 164 with that kind of power on tap.I on the other do have an area where ringing a car out is relatively safe.
Regardless though nice run looks pretty stable at high speeds.I would bet 190-200 is possible less the minor speed limiter detail.

Well at least that would be an easy fix. I CANT wait to get back out there! Even though I didn't drive at all, it was such a blast!!! 200MPH here we come!

Just get on the 210 or 15fwy at 3am, have a spotter car drive ahead checking for chp, set odometer to 0 and floor it till it hits 1mi and see where you are at, pray no cops saw you and that your tires hold. Lol.

With enough friends (2-3 spotters with radar detectors) going ahead of you, pull to the side, get a clear by the friends and like C5natie said, "floor it" to confirm you get past the 162mph mark.

(closed course professional driver) of course
