issue at idle
sometimes at a complete stop my car will start dropping in rpms to almost about 3k and ill put the car in neutral then back into drive when i start moving again (A4) and it will be fine. Yesterday i was messing around in a parking lot and the car completely shut off. the car is completely stock besides a lid. any ideas of what this would be???

check for vaccum leaks...you'll be surprised how a pin size hole can make your car fall on it's face...going in reverse or just coasting from a stop rpms drop down to 300 rpm.. it feels like it wants to stall and sometimes will..vaccum leak...that's what mine was

It was the hose where your pcv valve goes into your intake. (bottom left side of intake) It's about a 3 or 4" hose. It was no bigger than a pin hole, but enough to stall it out once and drop the rpms at stops and while coasting in drive and reverse.
