Default *UPDATED With Vids *Mufflex catback with flowmaster, spintech or magnaflow muffler?

I am thinking about getting the mufflex hidden tip catback with the magnaflow muffler. I really like the look of a camaro with no tips. My flowmaster exhaust has seen better days and is pretty much falling off the car right now. I plan on lowering the car and the way the cutout is placed, it will bottom out as it wasnt tucked too high.

I have the mods in my signature and I am going to keep the electric cutout. I dont want something obnoxiously loud to **** of the neighbors, thats what the cutout is for. Let me know what you guys think.

I am leaning towards the magnaflow after watching these videos

Found this picture, pewter car is exactly like mine but with no tips.

Don't decide based off of a video, you need ot hear them in person. The Flowmaster vids I have heard sound like ***, mine sounds nice though!

I hear ya. My flowmaster exhaust sounds pretty good, you can tell the car has something done to it. What flowmaster do you have?

I like the Spintech muffler. It has the rumble of a flowmaster at idle but it has more of an exotic sound when at WOT.

I ended up ordering the magnaflow, going to throw the electric cutout on afterwards. I have had exhaust where it is loud, which I think the flowmaster would be so I didnt order it. Anyone got videos of the flowmaster on there car? I still have a chance to change the muffler to a different one as they arent shipping it till tuesday?

If you ordered the 4" Mufflex catback w/Magnaflow muffler I really doubt you'll benefit from a cut-out unless you install one right after each header.

Sounds really good!
FYI, if you have a good set of headphones it'll sound closer to the in person sound.

Aww, crud. Wish I had seen this before you ordered. You coulda heard a 4" spintech in person, albeit the dual outlet system on a TA.

How loud is the spintech, I am not looking for anything that when I start it up in the morning that is really loud to wake the neighbors up. I know my cam made the car alot loud when idling.

At idle, it is much more "throaty" than the flowmaster but is quieter. All the drone inside while driving is gone, and part throttle is so much quieter that I can actually have quiet conversations at normal levels...and actually have started to want to invest in a better sound system. I actually had a couple of squeaks and rattles to take care of. At full throttle, to borrow a description already used, it sounds a bit more exotic. It is certainly louder at WOT, carries much farther, and according to all my friends I have rocketed past, sounds many times meaner and better than the flowmaster.

Magnaflow #642-14867, In/Out: 3.00'',5'' Round Muffler, Body Length: 14''.
I also run a ORY-pipe, so it would be quieter on your exhaust.

Are you referring to my video? Because YouTube destroyed the quality of it and I've been meaning to take a better one since, I know it's almost 4 years haha.

First time I heard a Mufflex it was a 4" Spintech system on my neighbors SS. This was before I even had my licensee, after thinking it was a helicopter coming down the street I knew if/when I ever got an F-Body it was going to Mufflex.

You can't just ask for clips of "flowmaster." They make about a million different mufflers. Which one are you wanting to hear?
