I'm watching the feed on odrtv.com and I keep wondering why NMCA has bracket cars at a heads up event? I mean last night they said first thing in the morning would be ALL LSX Challenge cars. The send rumble through and now they're going into bracket cars. It seems year after year the LSX guys keep getting put on the backburner. I really love watching the heads up NMCA stuff, but I could care less about bracket cars, if I wanted to see that I'd got to my local track and watch it all day on Sunday. I can't wait for the LS Fest!!!

Yeah, I saw you on there.
It keeps going down too.
Did Real Street go before All Motor?
I guess we missed that?

Now Fereday oiled down the left lane, I hope they can fix it?

I thought for sure they wouldn't do the brackets during a race with the NMCA, NMRA, AND LSx series ...

From what I can tell, they haven't ran Real Street yet???

This is one reason that we need an LSX only event like Bowling Gree.

Holley LS Fest is gonna be the only LSx only event we see.

Brian I understand your frustration but you counted the lsx cars yesterday, you know that does not make an event. While LSX does not get top billing, keep in mind the NMCA and NMRA regulars can say the same thing about the LSX Challenge series.

As for the video, this is only the first real attempt by the organization...bear with them.

You still have live timing on 1320go.com as well and I am doing the best can to give you guys updates as I try to dial my own car in for racing.

We did run real street, sorry I did not get the numbers...problem is real street got hung up the with an hour long oil down cleanup and we did start really late today because the track was soaked.

Sun is out and we are racing..if we don't count the recent oil down they just announced :(

I totally understand and APPRECIATE your updates Redgar!!! I know the NMCA/NMRA gets top billing, but it's a heads up series. I know they have open comp and if you wanna bracket race, get in that class. They keep running other brackets at every event it seems :(

I hope Holley uses this years race different than last year. Last year all the emphasis was on Hybrid type cars. All the coverage you saw from vids and pics from Holley was those type cars. Not really any 4th or 5th Gen, Corvette, GTO, G8, etc original LSX powered cars :( Not bitching at all, trust me, I'm SUPER glad to have the LS Fest, but I'd just like to see some more on the true original LSX powered stuff!

I've only been to two LSX Shootout/NMCA World Finals events (2007 & 2010) but I did find both to be quite LSx intensive, meaning that LSx vehicles were given a fair amount of attention/respect during the events in my opinion.

Why does everyone have to bag on the bracket racers when the race runs behind schedule? It's not their fault, and they paid to race just like the rest of the racers. Is it as exciting to watch as heads up? Likely no, but is it something a LOT more people can participate in? YEP!! Don't hate on bracket cars, as they are a class that can be inserted in many places to make the schedule work when the heads up guys need an hour or more to turn their cars around for the next round. Also, brackets and open comp are not the same thing. This topic was discussed at length on the last race at Memphis. Oil downs can't be planned, no brackets usually means times when nothing would be going down the track and bored fans.

Bracket guys help pay the bills and serve as great filler material.

And not to sound like a dick. But. You are voicing your frustrations about an event that you did not even bother attending while sitting at home watching the race on a FREE live feed? That is somewhat appalling...

I don't know why they don't run the bracket cars last. They take up so much time and nobody wants to see them. I say let them race, they want to have fun too, just put them at the end.

They pushed the heads up cars back as a favor to us! The heavy rains the night before fucked the track up HARD. they worked there ASS off to bring the track around and ran the bracket cars to lay some rubber down and put some heat in the track. I cannot say enough about how well this event was ran. We had a NMCA official who's only job was to keep the lsx guys informed in the pits and staging lanes as to the schedule. NEVER have I been treated so well at an event!!!!

Like I said, this was from a viewpoint of someone that wasn't at the event. I'm glad the competitors knew what was going on, because no one else really knew what was going on. Sorry if I sounded like negative, I'm very thankful NMCA/GMPP gives LSX racers a chance and place to compete!!!
