My C5 1/4 mile times with few mods
Im new to drag racing and the C5 Corvette. Purchased my 04 C5 Corvette in Feb 11. Since then I installed the full Vararam CAI, Borla Stingers catback, and Diablo Tune. Tune was installed. In addition I turned off torque management and tweeked timing a little. Adjusted shift firmness and quickness. Thats it.
Ran at Richmond Dragway last night. My first drag strip run ever. First run was a 12.62, 1.91 60 ft, @109.86. Second run was 12.60, 1.87 60 ft, @109.20. Both runs were solid launches with no wheel spin that I could tell.
Just looking to see what other C5 owners have to say and where their mods took them.
Thanks
Car is an A4, with 50,000 miles, nitto 555's on rear, stock runflats on front. lowered on stock bolts.

Thanks. I now have the bug and want to go faster. Thinking 3.15 gears and stall converter. Just to start. Love the vettes manerisms on the road and dont want to make it too much of just a straight line drag car.

Nice times for the mods and it being your 1st time! I see you said your looking into a stall converter. that should be your #1 mod on an auto then look into LT headers and Ported TB. As far as gears are concerned, get 3.42s minimum & 3.73s for an automatic.

very nice times for your setup. ive been down the road your going and over a 2yr period i went from mid 12's to 10.9. it costs$$$$$$ do the 3.73's with a 3600 stall it will kick you in the *** for sure and will work with higher hp set ups down the road. alot of parts you can get off corvette forum used. presently i have a forged 382 with a little juice 100 shot have gone 9.899. and seen a mph of 137.64. and 10.3's na at 130.41 mph. still have the 3.73 and 3600stall. car pulls wheels on launch on a stock suspension front sway bar out. pm if you have questions. for sure youll need a true wheel and tire drag package soon.
