Default 73 Camaro with Dynatech headers

See attached pics of the Dyna tech headers on my 73 Camaro.

They fit nice but hang below the subframe rail by 1.5"

They clear the body by at least the same amount.

I'm running a L92/600 TKO swap.

No tires and wheels yet to confirm clearance. On order 18" Vintage Wheels.

Made the adapter mounts and redrilled the the subframe 1" back. Should be the same as the Car Shop 1" set back plates.

surprizingly.. they are lower than the Edelbrocks. I looked at GArys thread to compare, and was surprized. I tried ordering the Eddys yesterday, but they are out of stock/discontinued. I will order the Dynatechs this week. Did you get the 2 1/2" or 3" collecters?

Yeah those Definitely hang lower than my Edelbrocks. If it helps they are prettier!

Motors back in tonight. 1 7/8" tube so they are more than 1 1/2 " below the subframe. Headers go back in tomorrow as a final fit. Yes they are very pretty. Pushed the trans right up into the tunnel. 1/4" clearance to the top of the TKO600. More pics to follow this weekend.

Thanks for the money shot. Very pretty headers. Too bad they are that low. If they were as close (tucked up) as the Eddys'... I'd buy em.

Thanks for clearing it up. I was hoping the excessive hangdown was just the angle when you took the pic. Looks like I might just buy Summit or Jegs 1 3/4 BBC headers and LSx flanges until something better comes along.

Thanks guys.

I don't drive the car daily so I'll see how many problems they give me and if a lot I'll switch to mid-length.
