2000 Vette, need mod advice
Hey, I have a 2000 vette, 45K miles, and I'm looking for suggestions on what route to take with its first major mods. Intake, cam, TB's, injectors, or, something like an A&A supercharger kit?

usually first mods consist of cai, long tubes, mid pipes, catback, short throw shifter if an m6, and lowering bolts.
for cai i would check out vararam or haltech.
headers, kooks 1 3/4 with o/r x.
cat back, personally i like the way the borla xr-1 sounds on c5 vettes.
if it's and m6 you should probably consider a good clutch, if an a4 a stall would be in order. if you plan on a cam probably a big stall. 3600-4000.

My budget is around $3K and I have a friend who has a "mild" cam from his SS camaro. I already have a cat back and cai installed. My goals are definitely weekend warrior and to give away a little bit of my lack of tech knowledge, what's an M6 or A4?
In a nutshell, you would recommend more bolt on mods than jumping right into a supercharger. The supercharger route, obviously more expensive, seems to accomplish all goals without screwing around too much...

I wouldn't jump into a supercharger plus you won't get one for 3K. Remember you'll need supporting mods with the blower.
M6 = manual 6 speed
A4= Auto 4 speed
I'd say get a T-Rex cam, intake, full exhaust and tune. There goes $2000-$2500 and will put you at 425+ whp. Spend the rest on some wheels and tires or rear end/tranny mods.
