Maggie kits
How much are you guys buying these for? Used. As I can't afford a new kit, their prices are ridiculous for a entry level, baby blower.
On a side note. My cam has 2* of overlap. Now I know the less overlap in a FI application is "better", any reason to think my cam would just kill my power gains with the maggie? I'll prolly have to run a slightly smaller pulley to get me the 6lbs I'm looking for.

What are the specs of your cam? I had a thread about this a while back: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...aggie-cam.html
The Maggie kits can be had new at the price of a used one, an ex-sponsor on this site gets a ridiculous deal on them.

My cam has 6 degrees of overlap and evryone i talked to said it would be just fine with a maggie, even more so for a procharger. Youll likely see about 500-510 with a maggie and then youll be maxed out or damn close to it. Thats the reason I didnt do it, thats still not fast enough for me to max a blower out as soon as its put on the car.

Excuse this question. Not sure if it's been beaten to death or not.
Why aren't people ordering GTO ATI kits and slightly modifying them for the V?
Seems VERY similar. I don't see anything other than some slight trimming here and there.
What's scoop fellas?

You can make 550 with a 112 but youll need meth, overdrive crank pulley etc. Thats about the most ive seen out of a 112 when i was gonna go that route which is a joke cause then what?
What are you looking to get out of the V? 500rwhp/tq is useless in first gear and most of second without good tires.

500/500 is plenty. I just don't want the case glowing red while doing so lol
I mean wtf!? I'm at 420 now!! 6lbs of positive intake manifold pressure cannot give me 80rw?? Am I being selfish? Lol

Forgive me for seeming presumptuous or like an ***, but it seems you have pretty much talked yourself out of the 112, why ask any more about it, instead why not chat with cancerjcc and look into a 122??

What is it about a twin screw that you don't want? There may be setups that make more power, but they generally do so in an RPM range you rarely see. The torque curves on twin screws is generally fantastic.
A few hundred RPM off idle my Saleen (twin screw) was making over 400 ft.lbs of torque, reaching up past 460 and not dropping until ~6k rpm. You might get more from a different style, but you won't see the low end torque that you feel.
But it will also depend on your intended usage. For me, 99% of my driving is on the street, and by the time I shift out of second I'm already breaking the hwy speed limit, so having power that kicks in at 4k rpm is kind of useless to me.

MUCH more money. Alot more down time as well. Not to mention much less street friendly with the kinda cam you'll need to make that power.
If I could put a 112 kit on my car the way it sits and pulley it to the appropriate boost level and it made ~500/500 and have it do so efficiently without being a maxed out heat pump, then I would change my attitude about it.
As far as my driving style goes. This car sees redline everyday. Lol

magnacharger no longer makes the 122 for our cars. If you want more then a 112 you have to go custom with a tvs etc.
500/500 is nice from 40mph up, but everything the maggies are known for is bottom end torque which is useless for the V as a street car. I do have to admit that everyone i have read about lately is more focuse don spinning the wheels then actually going faster. Not my money so do what you want but the logic makes no sense at all.
Not to mention you have been through 2 diffs already in what a year? WHy in the **** do you wanna make mor epower if you cant put it down righ now? Sorry if this seems harsh but i literally cant comprehend why some people wanna spend the money to slow there car down.
