Default Having custom headers built, Anything I need to know

I am having to have a set of custom headers made because camaro, or vette headers wont fit in my truck. I plan on getting 1 7/8" prim. with 3" collectors. Is there anything else I should look at doing or anything. Any help would be appreciated.

You could always just get some shorty headers and make a custom exhaust system from the header back, they should fit just fine in your truck. What about 4.8-5.3L truck headers? They are also LS1 based engines. Surely something has to fit the HUGE engine bay on a 70s Chevy truck.

Yup, try some truck headers before the shorties.

Cool idea for a swap. Got any more info on it?
