You have a lot of reading to do. Start by visiting the forced induction section. Most questions have already been answered in there regarding this question.

Biggest piece of advice I can give you is to do a ton of research and then do a lot more. Plan out the build as far as steps you want to do the mods in and what your overall goals are for the car. If you just say "I wanna drop a LS1 in a 84 camaro", "wait now I want to put a fast intake and heads", "now I wanna turbo it" and just keep adding things eventually you will start changing things and it will get even more expense. Opposed if you plan out the build for what you want in the end, and then break it up into small steps. Like first drop the motor in and get it running right, then do some simple bolt ons, and then worry about the turbo. I mean honestly putting a turbo on a N/A car and getting everything perfect is a job in of itself.

well the other isght that i talk on and read about LS'S they are gripping because they dont think a 17year old should be building up a car

M6 cars put down around 300-310 and the A4 cars about 290-300. Both are near the 350 mark, maybe alittle higher depending on the dyno/conditions. Fast intakes are good but expensive. I would expect a 15 hp increase and maybe another 10 with the ls6 heads.
Enough power for a 17 year old

That crazy. I started building cars at 13 with my best friends dad. i bought my first project 88 Monte Carlo ss with a 91 or 93 Corvette LT1 motor. i did almost all the work myself. even carbed it and all. Before i was done i had that big as* car running 12.2 with very minor work. Age has nothing to do with it. Have fun and build whatever you want. Its your car F'em if they dont like it.
