Default Stainless header temperatures????

Will the stainless steel type headers retain the heat and keep the engine bay as cool as jethot coated headers?

Can you touch the stainless headers a few minutes after turning the car off and not burn yourself just like with coated headers or does the jethot coating actually keep the headers a lot cooler than the plain stainless steel ones?

Default

Stainless is just used to reduce corrosion, it is not any better at holding heat. Jet-Hot coated headers, being a ceramic coating, improve the coefficient of heat transfer, making them transfer less heat than bare metal.

You can't touch either of them after a few minutes, they will all burn you.
