Default What tires are you running on the street?

Im looking for a good street tire that will last around 10k or miles with good traction, summer only is perfectly fine my car does not move in winter.

I just purchased tt2 17x9.5 for fronts and 17x11 for rear, if you have same rim size please state what tire size you are running ect. The reason i am asking this question cause if i get like nitto555 for rear should i get same for front... although it would be kinda tacky to go with a different tire in the front vs the back. let me know guys thanks!

If all your care about is traction in a straight line then get NT555Rs or NT05Rs (Nitto's drag radials), otherwise look into pure handling tires NT555 and NT05. I have a set of NT05 tires and they perform awesome. Fantastic handling and even though they aren't a drag radial I have gotten some pretty good launches out of them! Relatively inexpensive too, at least compared to F1 Supercars and Michelins.

what do you want out of the tires? pure grip or an all around tire you can safely drive aggressively on? like said about the NT-05 is a great tire for grip in the corners and not too bad at the track, the NT-05R is the drag tire.

275/40/17 up front and 315/35/17 in the back. regardless what tire you get stick with the same tread pattern.

Will wet weather handling be a factor? Nitto 555Rs handle rain OK if they still have a good amount of tread left and you don't go crazy with the throttle, brake and steering wheel.

I'm not a serious racer I guess.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports on the car and have 9000mi on them. Since they are street tires they still have a lot of tread left.

To answer your question, if I were you I might go ahead and run the 555's on the front. Or the NT05's all around. I don't think anyone is going to pay close enough to the tread design on the front or back of your car to care if they don't match though.

Nitto NT-555's for me. Had these for a year and my car is a DD and there at half tread, maybe a little more right now.

I've got the NT555's on the rear. Good handling but you can't have quite as much fun going sideways haha cause they want to stick! I still have my crappy Nexen N3000s up front but not many people notice. I only kept those because they still have quite a bit of tread and I could only afford two new tires at a time :-/
