Default v8 swapped t56 rx7 whining from trans?????

I have a 93 v8 swapped Rx7 with a t56 and i have a whining noise coming from below the shifter at least thats what it sounds like. It emits a noise heard in car and out and only sounds when any acceleration or load is applied. But as soon as clutch is pushed in it goes away or if no acceleration is given and even on decel it doesnt make any noise. It also doesnt make the noise in reverse. It does it in all gears and at any speed or rpm. It was making the noise so a stage 2 tick performance rebuild kit was done to the trans by a mechanic and the noise is still there. Does anyone know what this is its driving me nuts! Please help guys thanks.

No it drives what i would say perfect. No real sign of anything wrong with it except that horrible noise.

Is there a body boot on the tunnel? If not , it could just be normal noise that would be blocked out by a boot.

Did the Stage 2 parts including bearings?
What did the tech think of the trans. bearings especially at the front of the input shaft and countershaft?

This:
"only sounds when any acceleration or load is applied. But as soon as clutch is pushed in it goes away or if no acceleration is given and even on decel it doesnt make any noise." can be a characteristic of a poorly set up or worn differential as well. A mechanic's stethascope (cheap at HF) might help you pinpoint.

Does it clunk when you select any gears?

Is it slow to change on high RPM gear changes?

Not sure what it looked like as this is a handed down issue from the previous owner. Could the sound from the rear end travel up to sound like its coming from under the gear shifter I even took the center console off to hear it better and it sounds like its coming from the trans.

As far as the clunking you ask...it kind of feels like there may be something from a dead stop that feels like a clunk from the initial stopped to moving movement.

I do hear a clunk sometimes when i let out the clutch after shifts. What im trying to explain is probably so confusing to you guys. Also at highway speeds the sound turns into a very high pitched whine that is very loud opposed to a deeper whine at lower speeds.

You know, my buddy's T5 does it. He bought a built T5 from D&D. Nothing physically wrong with it, but I agree it does sound like he's got a KB under the hood. Always wondered the same thing. Maybe it's the gearsets. Helical gear-sets are supposed to be quiet. Depends on the tolerances though. Try changing the oil?

If you dont want to take his suggestions you could go retard on it. Eliminate a rear/u joint issue so you can eventually get "A mechanic's stethascope" and isolate the problem area..

Pull the driveshaft out
Install tranny plug so fluid doesnt spew out
Put car in gear and throw it some Revs in gears

Then tell us:

Does it still do it?

I didn't say I wasn't going to take his suggestions I think what he was saying is they talked about a stethoscope and I said something about heartbeat.

my buddy had a weird noise in his 2001 ws6 6 speed, we tried everything it ended up being the input shaft was all effed up... prolly from previous owner slacking in the pilot bearings replacement department... this noise kinda mimiced a release bearing noise
