!EGR mod gone wrong...
I'm hoping this is the right section...
Well, I did the free mod where I cut the EGR tub that goes down into the front of the intake manifold, and I've been having some issues. A friend helped me out, but I think we messed something up. Sometime I get a loud hiss from that area (obviously a leak), so all I do is take the tube back out, readjust the rubber O-ring, put in in, and everything's fine. The thing is, it keeps coming back, and it throws a code everytime. I don't have a scan tool or anything though, to check the code.
What can I do?
Oh, and I guess I should add that I can't tighten the 10mm bolt too much, it will only go to a certain tightness then stop.
Thanks guys.

Just went out and checked on the car, and it's official that the hole for the bolt to go into was threaded out of the intake manifold. I can still push it in enough to get a seal, but I gotta do something about this.
I hope this isn't my excuse to get an LS6 intake

If the whole brass fitting came out you can go get some epoxy and fix it that way.I didnt it and it held forever.Make sure you get the epoxy for plastic and high temp.

I plan on just removing the EGR now, but is there a way to not get a code (without deleting it with Edit)? I heard somewhere that there might be a resistor I could use. Anyone know anything about this?

I just filled the hole with epoxy and put the bolt back in. Everything should be good now until I get LS1 Edit so I can delete the code. Thanks guys!
