Default iron headed 6.0 to th400

I have a 99 iron head 6.0 that I was hoping to use. Is it capable to bolt a th400 behind this or would i need to swap cranks. Iv had a few people tell me there is problems with these. Thanks

does it have a flywheel on it? how much does the crank stick out past the rear seal-if aprx. 3/8" past the seal, it has the longer rear crank section, just use a stock 4l80e flywheel and your good to go
pics would help, cause the crank could have been changed at some time

Yes the flexplate is still on. I'll take some pics with measurements this evening when I get home thanks for the help

Sorry didnt get to take pictures yet. Camara is out of commission right now lol

I did measure the distance between seal and were the flexplate starts and it is right at 3/8. So is should be good if i use the stock flexplate right?

I just went out and looked at the FW. It is staight and only has little raised spots were the converter bolts up. I will get another camara either tonight or tomorrow and take some pics. I really appreciate the help Forcd Ind
