You should be able to... The last time I ran at Irwindale before I put my exhaust back to stock for the referee, I ran 8.2s with a lid, gutted cats, catback, and 3.42s... I haven't gone in a while because my car is down.

NT01? 555R? 555? INVO? Mud Grappler?

When I ran 555R's, I kept them at 16 PSI street/strip. When the centers were past the wear bars at 16k+ miles, the guy I practically gave them to put another 5k+ miles on them at 16PSI or less. I don't remember how many miles we put on them, but I'm pretty sure the combined total was a few thousand over 20k miles before they got scrapped.

Won't help too much if they're the street 555s...

Nitto drag radials you gotta get them real hot and sticky during your burnout. Leave them at 16 psi

Well first of all you wanna buy some better tires. Nt555 s are more of a street tire. Maybe some Nt555r, mickeys, or hoosiers.

I'm planning on running my vette there next week. I've never run on the strip before and I don t even know how to do a proper burn out in a clutch car. I'll probably just skip the burn out and roll it off the line so I don't loose traction or hurt the car. As for v8 he runs in the 7's at irwindale. Once his car is back up I'm sure he'll be there every week he can.

NT555's are TRASH on the Track. NT555r need to be Suuuper hot.

Get some M/T DR's and thats all you need. On my 255/16's I ran 7.8's all day in my A4 383 Stroke LT1 and 8.50 in my Exhaust and LID only LS1 Trans Am (Has to baby that rear end).

Ran a 1.74 60' and clocked a 12.32 in Famoso (in the camaro). Greatest tire out there IMO
