Default Why won't my car shift at 6500 rpm with Predator?

I tried to set my Predator to shift at 6500, to work with my Z06 cam. It seems to shift where the hell it wants to. Sometimes 6000, 6200,6300....rarely (like once) 6500. What is up? I have the rev limiter set to 'on' 6550 and 'off' 6450. Should I change that to a higher setting?

Are you going off of the stock tach?

These are awfully slow and it may just be the tach giving you a goofy reading.

never thought of that. Can't imagine the tach is off that much, but what do I know.

My WS6 shifts where ever the mph is set at, no matter what I set the rpm shift point on the Predator. They are supposed to trigger on the one they see first. So I just set the rev limiter to save the motor & played with the mph to get it at 5900. So you might also try setting the mph WAY hi to see if that helps. Seems like jimmyblue explained this phenom once upon a time (on the "other" site)....
