Default Weird gas gauge issues, anybody having this issue?

Well recently, ive been having fuel gauge issues. Now back when it worked correctly, it would move off of F anywhere between 40-50, then hits 3/4 about 90-100 miles or so. then half like 170-190. Now, it stays on F til about 90, drops rapidly to 3/4 (id say within 10-20 miles), then seems to read accurate under half a tank. I calculate my mileage and mileage is correct, about 19-22 avg. My gauge will say 1/4 tank, i fill up, takes about 12 gallons or so which is correct. any advice? is my sending unit goin?

Mines doing the same thing, I pulled the sending unit out and cleaned it. It worked ok for one tank full then starting acting up again. Time to replace the sending unit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-F...item53e43b91b5

It is plug and play.
First remove the float arm that snaps into the lever on the sender.
This two barbs on the sender slip into a slit on the module, and are held in place with a locking tab. Remove the locking tab and pinch the two hooks together, the sender will slip out. The same with the two electrical plugs. They are held in place with a locking tab that slips out.

You dont't have to drop the tank, saw a video on you tube step by step , its the trap door method. You make an Access hole in the trunk....if you want to save alot of time or do not have the room available to drop the tank.
