Doing a budget build for my brother. We have a 99 Camaro with a stock ls1 with a T350 w/brake. Going to do a cam head only car.
Would like to know some set ups that work? What intake and Heads and best track times.

depends on the budget honestly, and dont forget about the intake, a good intake finishes off the combo....If theres no budget i would look into trick flow 225's or AFR, talk to Tony Mamo hes very helpful.....also depending the the stall/gear you guys wanna use have someone spec you a cam to match everything...good luck

Hard to beat a T/F "AS Cast" cylinder head for the $$$. It flows 1% less then the CNC 215 for hundreds less. If you already own a set of 243's, having them ported by TEA would be even less $$$ with equally good results.
If you order the T/F's from TEA, you can have powdered Metal guides installed as an option and run stock rockers with no worries.

Don't know what the most is but I have a buddy that did 500rwhp with a stock bottom ls1 11.7:1 Afr 205s pat g custom spec cam and mamofied 102.

Im just going to either go witht he TFs or the afrs. 243 are like gold seems like to find. I am going to get a custome cam to go with the ported VIC and the accufab to match. I have did research and found they like like a 109 lobseperation.

would probably be upper 53x to low 54x..if it was stock 10 bolt/gear, m6, street tires rims...but i just care about how it does at the track...I do think it would be interesting to throw it on an engine dyno though, take out alot of variables...
will be 9s this fall if the track prep is there..ran 10.20 at 131mph in 3000ft DA, 60ft was a little weak too at 1.36...

Dont worry to much about RWHP you need to make the car WORK.... We are 105 RWHP less the chris1313 and runs 9.98 but are car pulls 1.31 60s....

thats impressive. Lock up converter but still h/c a4 at 522 rw is sweeeet! Stock compression?

yeah locked converter...spooled 12 bolt, 4.10s, 28" mt drag radials...
compression is around 12:1...

should go 9.8-9.9 this fall in the cool air...around 3000 raceweight so she is light :)
thanks for the props, car is street driven to the track everytime too
