Finally got to test out the ss3600. I was like 10th in line when they opened so I was able to get somewhat a good track before all the ricers drove all over the water box (god I hate those fucks) Car#811

I did this pass on my 275 40 17 hoosier drs @28psi. After this pass the track was trashed from the ricers. I tried like 8 more times and just spun off the line. I tried 25psi, 20psi, 17psi and just couldnt hook. Now I know why the guys with stalls and more power say street nights are a waste of time. This was my last street night.

Heres what I gained...
last years da was -1245 with stock stall...
Last year http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/drag-racing-results/1345012-new-best-ned-12-6-a.html

The da tonight was -1124 so da was not as good but almost the same as last year. I gained .6 and 2mph with the stall and tune for the stall.

Actually hoosier drs are a great tire. They are better than the mt et street I had. The problem is no tire is gonna save us when the ricers drag the waterbox down the track with them lol. On my last pass I just tried to have fun and I gave the car throttle 6 different times for the first 100-200' and spun everytime.

What was race weight?

Full weight minus spare and jack. Im about 210lbs. I never did any weight reduction like I was thinking about. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/drag-racing-tech/1407545-track-today-what-adjustments-should-i-make.html So just like I thought im kicking myself for not doing it lol Could of had 11s.

Thanks I expected a 12.1-12.2 with same da as last year but car gave me better. Im happy with it for sure but it just to bad I was so close to 11s.

Congrats on the time! So close to 11's. Reading all these stall times makes me wish my ss4000 would get here soon.

I think you have a lot more in the 60' to work on. I am by far no expert but my best 60's came around 18 psi and warming the DR's up until I felt them vibrate. But if the ricers are dragging water your screwed. I only had cat-back,tune and a ss3600 but 1.69's were the norm in that air.

Ha last time I was at the track there wur 2 honda ricers and they went like 3 times and couldn't turn on the lights at the end of the track. They wur EXTREMELY SLOW! I don't think I have ever seen anything move so slowly. I would say they probably ran low 20's lol

Thanks! Yes im wishing I took out a little weight, took off swaybar, or got lighter drag wheels. I would have had 11s. Even if the track stayed good for another hour (it got colder) I would have had it.
m wishing I went with the ss4000 I most likely would have had 11s with that stall. But hey live and learn.

Yea thats one thing that was a little disapointing. I expected low 1.7s and even high 1.6s. It was most def the track. Even though I was 10th in line I was lucky I got the one decent pass in.

Usually I love lining up against the rice to blow their doors off but I couldnt even do that! I tried easing into the throttle a few times just to have fun and I just spun. So the rice made me look stupid all night long lol. Anyone that knows New England Dragway during the week knows its a joke. Dude, this was my last street night unless they start doing better track prep and keep the rice out! I guess early morning test and tune is my next step.

I would think so. The track was shit and im still new to a stalled auto. IDK how im suposed to launch this thing yet. 1st pass where I hooked decent I foot braked up around 1k-1500k. Tried it again the next pass and just spun. I tried leaving at higher rpms, played with tire pressure and same result...spinning:bang:

Congrats on the new times. Too bad about the track conditions, makes your tire pressure adjustments and so on seem like a waste.

Thanks jayp and yea I know what you mean. I start to question my tires if I cant hook but it really was the track. If it was my tires then I sure as hell wouldnt have hooked @28psi on my first pass attempt. Street nights were ok when I didnt have a stall but now forget it. :bang:

Awesome run! What rpm were you leaving the line at? I hope I can do well with my stall.

Thanks:D Well on my first attempt probly 1k or a little above. I tried alot of other rpms but the track was so shot it didnt matter. Dude, just go when you know you will have a good track. On a decent track theres nothing to it.

Congrats !!:thumb: Next time leave the back and the passenger seats at home . To be honest ,you are a lightweight battery from 11's all day with a good hookin' track . :)

I took out my spare, backseat and rear seatbelts,it gives me more room to haul the tires to the track.

It was also worth a tenth, making it even more worthwhile.

Looks great, almost identical to my slip except .2/2mph faster after the 1/8th mile. I have got to find out what the hell is causing my car to nose over....

I'm super jealous of the DA too, my best DA I've ran in was +1840ft. Never got a chance to run near 0 and def not negative.

Yes and I need a good track which has been hard to come by. I always remember your 11.8 when im thinking about what time I can run. I should have done the few things I was gonna do before going like lightening it up and swaybar delete. Shoot man, even if the track stayed good I would of had 11s cause it was only 6pm!
If I remember correctly you had swaybar removed, lighter drag wheels, skinnies up front, nitto drs, and some suspension?

I took out my spare, backseat and rear seatbelts,it gives me more room to haul the tires to the track.

I used to do that too. Iv been lazy the last few times though so Iv been driving 2.5 hrs with the hoosier drs on. The only weight reduction I have is spare+jack.

Congratulations Joe! Glad you were able to actually hook . Im planning on going on Wed night hoping to get down areound 11.4. we'll see.

Hey thanks Brian! Dude it was the same as last time we were up there. I was 10th in line and first pass was alright but after that the track was crap from the ricers. I really think that was my last street night. Think ill shoot for a test and tune sat morning. If you get a good track I bet you will do 11.4 no problem. That new setup with the heads and cam must be treatin ya pretty good! I think ill be talkin to Don Slowhawk soon about a cam :D Ill see ya up there one of these days man!

Nice results.......

Thanks! If I would of taken your advice and got the 4k stall I would of had 11s:emb:

Well anyone that knows DA knows how much it changes how a car makes power. If we were lined up side by side your Chevelle would hand my car a good ass whoopin. Im itching for a cam now though :D

Awesome.

The SS3600 is a great stall. I got into high 11s with mine and almost the same mods as you, but my car had more gear. (3.73)

On 315/35-17s and heavy 17x11 ZR1s, I was footbraking up to about 1800-2000 and pulling 1.59-1.60.

I guess my car is probably about 3600 with me in it so probly 100lbs lighter.
Have you taken alot of weight out of that car?

i think you should have 1.6 60' times in it, it seems like the more i run my ss3600 the faster it gets, where are your rpms while footbraking it?

I agree and I was hoping for at least high 1.6s. I left around 1k-1200k or so. I have only had 1 pass out of like 15 where I was able to hook. So I havent had much of a chance to see what the car could do:bang:

Haha, no burnouts...I like to cruise through downton nice and slow....better to enoy the "scenery", haha.

And low 12's would be awesome...right now I've run a best of 13.6 at 104. It's not slow, but considering a new V6 Mustang is almost there, it's not as impressive as it once was.
