Just get a multi meter and read the resistance across the keys resistor, Radio shack carries all of the values used in GM keys. The resistor can be either solderd or spliced in.

Just use the formula to fine the resistor you need, Caddillac forums is where I foun a good write up on how to bypass it. did it on my neighbors 1994 Sedan Deville, worked perfectly.

Finally got her started, but i didnt use the resistors cause i couldnt get them to work but anyway the problem was when i had replaced the ignition and got a new key made, I tried to put the key in but it wouldnt fit so today i just got fed up with it, so i took a deep socket and tapped the key in till it was flush, turned they key and car started. So to anyone who might have this problem in the future and thinks its the key you have to make sure the key is all they way in the ignition or the car wont start!
