Victor jr VS GMPP L92 intakes???
I found a couple of threads but no real answers.
Which carb style intake is the best???
I saw a comparison between the GMPP intake and a stock L76 composite manifold, and the carb'd intake actually lost power. (LS2 with L92 heads and a 230 odd duration cam) Would the Victor jr have been any better???
This will be going on an LS3 with cam and heads.... I don't want to go backwards!!!

you can not use the same cam to compare a single plane intake and a plastic intake. That being said, I like the GMPP over the Victor Jr in a Fbody unless you are using a cowl hood. The Victor puts the carb stle thorttlebody so close to the stock hood that it becomes a restriction. What are your goals with this project?

Yes he is very right an not to mention the Tq loss for a peak number. Thats the question you have to ask yourself. With a plastic manifold your going to have all around power on the street, but with a single plane you almost need a auto setup to run in the same range at all times.

Bump for some results. My wannabe project is an 80's G-body with a 370/L92/GMPP combo. I'm not sure what the numbers will say but I'm not to worried about a peak number, but the GMPP appeals to me for figment issues under a stock or 2" cowl.
