Default drop in filter

I tried a search without any luck. anyone have a posted horsepower gain for a drop in air filter with a stock lid? say something like a k/n.

Not worth it, use the stock filter to keep bird turds and all the other **** outta your engine...

you two are quick to jump on the douchebag train.

I ask because I have purchased a stock airbox for my car. It came with a k/n fipk, which was way over oiled to begin with. I bought it with the intent of slapping it back in, or just having it in case I want to go stock again. Off K/N's website, it says the FIPK was good for 14 hp but it doesnt list a number for a drop in filter with the stock set up. Thats why I am asking.

paper filter is like 1-2 hp loss over the K&N...not really worth it, that is if you gain any

thank you. that is what I was looking for. I dont imagine this stock air box being shipped will have a filter in it. If the k/n drop in was worth some decent horsepower, I would buy one. since it seems like it doesnt gain anything, I will just buy a stock one.
