Default Start it or leave it

Parked my car in December and have not moved it or started it since, I'm in Chicago so spring is another 2 months so should I leave it alone until spring or is it a good idea tostart it and let it run for a while? What is the best way to store these cars for the winter? Thanks in advance

Believe us midwest guys. You don't want to drive your car here when it gets bad. Its downright scary cause even if you're under control others aren't . I just make sure my tires don't flatspot at all, move it backwards/forwards periodically. I try to put fuel stabilizer in too but I still like to warm it up to running temp, and hold it at a slightly elevated rev for a while just to be sure you don't get too much building up and setting.

Definitely DO NOT START IT! You'll only introduce more moisture into the oil, which won't burn off unless you drive it. You're causing more harm than good.

I am in Chicago too. Joliet actually. I agree with Patman and say you should not start your car unless you plan to drive it. But maybe a few times a month take it to the grocery store or to church or whatever. Just pick days that don't have snow on the roads and you'll be fine.

Otherwise I would just let it sit.

Good Luck
