Default Lakers baby! 2011

This will be the official thread where we will talk lakers throughout the playoffs. There will be haters, trash talking, bandwagoning, and most importantly, talking about a third straight ring at the end of the thread.

So far we are up 2-1 against the Hornets with game 4 starting here shortly. What are your guys thoughts about this series and the season so far?

people say this every year...we are inconsistent as hell...we dont win unless we HAVE to win...the only team i see giving us a good series is the Thunder...tomorrow we will win by 8 or more....and we will win in a close one in New Orleans in Game 6...

Boston wins it all this year. Thunder will be the team to take care of the Lakers.

Lakers with a W last night. Great dunks by Kobe, and all around great effort by everyone.

Yea kobe was on top of it last night.. Very agressive taking the ball to the hole. Looked like the old days of #8 with an afro

I by no means am a Laker fan, but my respect for Kobe has really grown as we've seen him mature so much from the player he used to be. But the quote above is completely true, that is one reason why I could never bring myself to become a fan. On the other hand, I would like to see Kobe (I could kinda care less for the other Laker players) get another ring because of how great of a player he is now, especially when you compare his attitude with Lebron's. Nonetheless, I'll probably root for the Celtics-sorry!

You guys think Lakers will bring in Dwight Howard? Lakers should try and make a move for Chris Paul.

They need to do something; in his current condition kobe can not carry the team anymore. A good point guard like Chris Paul would be a lot of help. Dwight Howard is not a free agent until next year.

Well, i know ESPN mentioned about D. Howard being a free agent this season. So if you can bring in Howard that will be huge and put you right back into contention next season.

Lakers will definitely need to bring in a PG. Fisher isnt much of anything but an aging player. It would be huge if the Lakers brought in CP3.. Imagine CP3 and Howard and Kobe!! Plus when kobe steps away you have a good foundation to build on.

Lakers will just need to bring in a solid bench. Also what do you do with Gasol? Do you keep him or trade him?
