Default Does it ever stop?

Well about this rant guys, just really upset. Went to the track about a month ago, and broke the 10 bolt. No big deal it happens, especially with the 10 bolt I really cant be complaining. About a week ago, finally found a doner 10 bolt to go in my car, and we got it all buttoned up saturday. It was the greatest feeling in the world to be driving the car again. Then what, happens after it gets home? I go 9.3 miles and I have no forward gears in the tranny. Like WTF really? Does this stuff ever stop? Will I ever catch up to the stupid stuff happening to this car? sorry for the rant guys, just had a crappy easter day on top of a bad month

Happy easter

Chris

not trying to be mean, rude or w/e. but you should have know it was bound to happen when you put all that work into the motor and leave the tranny, rearend alone. yea maybe you can get lucky for awhile like some guys but is it worth it to keep putting junk parts in it?

Ah crap man...

There is no way that's a built tranny man! And to think, we bumped the line pressure down!!! That thing must have gotten the **** beat out of it beforehand huh?

Listen man, come by one day and we'll tear it apart to see what happened, then figure out plan B.

Give me a call at Masport, I'll disassemble it in front of you, so you know what you have and what you dont have. Then I'll build you a unit that out weighs the power your making.

If you dont know by physically inspecting componets in the trans, then ur just going in circles. I opened up a brand new unit (From Whoever) for a client who wanted to know what he purchased and found it was short two clutches and had a stock stator. Food for thought.

and this was goin behind a 1400hp 632.

I feel ya. I haven't had my car up and running problem free for more than 6 months at a time for almost a couple years now. Back in November of '09 I broke the 10 bolt power shifting on stock power. By Jan. of '10 I had a MWC 9", full exhaust, ls6 intake, etc. Feb. '10 snapped the driveshaft. Got a new PST shaft and ran around for a month and a couple track visits. Went to add a shim to the pinion to quell some noise in the rear end and found out the slip yoke to the driveshaft was twisted. After that, had the car running for almost 6 months before the engine blew in Nov. '10 (and also found out the slip yoke was twisted again). Found a replacement engine, added some mods, and now had a nice loud tick to it when I started it up for the first time. So I just tore down the passenger side to replace some lifters.
