Default 2001-LQ4 question

I'm new to this type of eng. My question is, will a LS cam work in this eng? I'm looking to step up on the power of this 6 liter. If so what would be a good cam to step up to? I would like to be able to run in the 12's at the drag strip. The eng. is going into a 35 Ford PU. I have already converted it to a carb & intake set up. Thanks in advance for any info.

That engine probably has the beans to run twelves with headers and your
carb setup if tuned well and good traction. Check Texas Speed for like one
of their 231/234 (torquerV3)???, or they also have a 233/239 duration cam
that will run up to 6500 with supporting valvespring upgrade. If you're
interested in a custom cam call Geoff @ EPS. Both of these vendors can
get you the right length pushrods and other improvements (t-chain,oil-pump)
