Default Is this a MAF problem or..???

so a while back i noticed when im driving my car at normal throttle it slightly decelerates right when the needle is reaching 2500rpm when im still hitting the gas?? and just yesterday i took my air lid completely off up to the throttle body then put it back together just the way it was, then noticed more throttle responce after i drove it & it doesnt decelerate when i reach 2500rpm anymore.

What couldve been the problem? or what if it starts doing it again in the future? has anyone else had this problem?

any help would be appreciated thanks

Maybe you were getting unmetered air in through the intake system somehow.
