Default Can you replace bumpstops?

just out of curiosity, is it possible to do this? I have 315/35/17 tires and they had to shave my existing bumpstops so they would fit. Say if i want to put on reg rims/tires is there any problems with shaved bumpstops? (even worse case scenario) If so, can they be replaced?

I don't think there will be an issue if you go back to stock rims. They usually shave the width not the height.

Good luck finding them to replace, they are discontinued. Some people are using a jeep replacement bump stop and it's supposed to work. I got a 3rd gen one, solid rubber and better made, from a junk yard I'm going to try b/c mine are toast.

True that, mine are kinda rotting away so to speak (my car is a '98), and they did shave the width.

The 3rd gen sounds like a good idea, ill look for some lata.

Search the Steering and Suspension forum for this. Lots of posts. There are some good HD replacement options originally designed for Jeeps.

Holy crap. This thread just reminded me that one of mine fell off a few months ago. I need to fix that thing!
